Debian-news is about one simple thing - news about Debian GNU/Linux and the top free distributions based on Debian GNU/Linux.

DebCentral 2.0

Our friends at Debcentral has revamped their logo and also announced what the plans are for 2006
You can read the announcement or see the headlines here:

I'm sure by now many of you have noticed the new look of the site. It's nothing major, but some things that have needed fixing have been completed and many others remain. I'd like to take a few minutes to outline what we have done, and what our goals for 2006 are. So sit back, settle in, and read away.
…Our first goal is to continue to grow and bring in new members and contributors.
…Our second goal is to begin to give back to the Free and open source software communities at large.
…Thirdly, we are working on focusing our audience a bit.
…Lastly, I have to comment on the wiki vs forum. …Second, the Wiki is being entirely reworked with the help of Darren.

So, welcome to 2006 at DebCentral. After 3 months of warming up, its time for us to get in the game. Please consider joining us today, and welcome to DebCentral 2.0!
