Debian-news is about one simple thing - news about Debian GNU/Linux and the top free distributions based on Debian GNU/Linux.

Build your Debian GNU/Linux on demand

Our friends at DebCentral has discovered an interesting (commercial) offering – design your own Debian yourself through their website and then download the ISO.
DebCentral mentions the smart idea:

Quote:

Go to their site, register and then configure your Debian based distro.

Answer the same basic questions you do in the current Debian installer about passwords, IP addresses, type of configuration, etc. Then Euronode creates a completely custom ISO with its own installer. Just burn the ISO, put the ISO in a PC, reboot and it autoinstalls for you. Reboot and you are up and running.

Euronode.com provides customized Debian operating systems which integrate the appropriate and configured software according to your preferences.

Yes, they are a commercial entity, but don't dispair, appart from offering you to freely register for their service and use the distro for 30 days, they also have a community site Euronode.org that works with the community to produce similar ISO's.
