SimplyMEPIS 6.0-alpha2 Linux Release

MEPIS founder Warren Woodford has announced the alpha2 release of SimplyMEPIS 6.0. Alpha2 primarily incorporates suggestions from the MEPIS user community and package updates.

Alpha2 was synchronized with the Ubuntu Dapper pools around 7PM on April 19. The MEPIS pools have been updated to include the latest version of the transitional MEPIS OS Center and other MEPIS provided packages. The apt config was modified to insure that MEPIS package overrides would take precedence in Kpackage. This already worked correctly in Synaptic.
