Installing NVIDIA drivers in Ubuntu edgy

Getting the NVIDIA Geforce video card working to it’s full potential with Ubuntu edgy requires the installation of an additional glx driver package.

These drivers do not come preconfigured with the Ubuntu distribution and need to be enabled in order get the most from a Geforce video card. The process is simple, however many tutorials make it more complex than need be.
