Debian etch on Dell Precision M65 laptop

The installation was unexciting except for:eth0 is firewire! Normal ethernet was eth1.
The DHCP query timed out too fast, my ISP (comhem.se) has a slow DHCP server. I had to retry twice before I got an address. The default do seem somewhat fast.
I got a confusing question from 'swsusp'. It asked (although my memory may be failing) whether it was OK that I didn't have a working swap partition, and whether I wanted to continue anyway. I did setup a swap partition properly, so I was somewhat surprised. I don't know what this was about. I just pressed enter.
