adventures in DSL
My buddy Todd gave me an old thinkpad he was going to trash. Its an i-series 1400 with a 433 celeron, 64M RAM, and 4G hard drive so I installed Damn Small Linux on it for web browsing and email.

DSL Linux is surprisingly easy to set up. Once I got the hardware issues figured out, the installation was fairly easy. Im still researching some problems with wireless networking but I did get the OS installed to the hard drive and linux is running. Performance is much faster than Win98 while processor and memory utilization are down significantly. Once I get on the net and get the cd drive replaced Ill be good to go. Woohoo! Thanks linux!
