I tested my Ubuntu setup for about 45 days and found that I didnt ever boot into the Windows partition. So I bought a large external hard drive and copied whatever was left on that partition over to it.

So when I loaded the live CD six months ago, it was more a case of having a couple of hours to kill. Anyway, I was surprised to find that everything worked just like that. The more I fooled around with it, the more it intrigued me. I was able to do a lot of stuff without having to do a lot of searching and fixing. After working out the details of my home wireless network, I surfed over to the Ubuntu site and read some forum posts. After about an hour, I decided to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows XP.
