Debian-news is about one simple thing - news about Debian GNU/Linux and the top free distributions based on Debian GNU/Linux.

New layout and much, much more…

Welcome to the new Debian-news.net! There’ll be many new features on the site now and in the weeks to come.

First, thanks to László Torma for motivating us to get moving with the update and for helping with the design.

After almost 3½ years with the same layout, we’ve switched from Xoops to WordPress and to a more admin-friendly and Debian-friendly layout so you definitively know what you’ll find here! All the stories have been migrated to the new site, and once I’m back from vacation, we’ll start migrating the other parts of the site.

We hope you like it, and as you now have the opportunity to comment the news – so please do so with comments to the new layout in this thread.

Looks very nice, but the logos are a little bit dizzy.
Thanks for the renovation and keep up the good work.

Would like to have the links change color after I have visited them.

Looks great! Glad to see the refresh. I think you’ll definitely enjoy using WP more than Xoops. Congrats!
