Perfect Debian 5.0 Server – so easy, even a newbie can do it

This brief tuto­r­ial is about installing a per­fect server with the new Debian 5.0 (code­named Lenny) Linux Oper­at­ing Sys­tem. At a later date, we will test drive some of the added fea­tures and how it can be used as a solid busi­ness solu­tion to run crit­i­cal busi­ness applications. More here

For this project, I am down­load­ing the ‘net install’ image of the OS. The ‘net install’ copy of the image is smaller com­pared to the full CD copy. It allows you to get started with the bare min­i­mum and choose what to down­load instead of down­load­ing the entire full CD copy with stuff you might not need to install.
