Finally, this link got me unstuck! I had my fairly new Wacom Bamboo (CTL-460) tablet working in debian last fall (thanks to some help) but it then broke sometime early spring because of upgrades of kernel and Xorg. More here

    I have just found that linux-image-2.6.32-5-686 uses nouveau to drive my old Nvidia Riva TNT2 card whereas linux-image-2.6.32-4-686 uses nv. Would someone please explain why?
