Debian-news is about one simple thing - news about Debian GNU/Linux and the top free distributions based on Debian GNU/Linux.

The Debian apocalipsys

I’ve been Debian user since many years ago. I’m proud of Debian in all that years. Was my O.S. of choice at home desktops and at work servers. This week I started to learn about the pkg-perl team, to try to help in Dancer::* and its build dependencies packaging. More here

Nowadays, I don’t know exactly what Debian is… but it is not Debian anymore. And I can’t fight against this issue opening bugs.

Debian is canonical and canonical is Debian. Changes come from ubuntu developers maintaining Debian packages. I can’t trust a operative system whit junior sysadmin quoting problems in the core scripts, or loads of shit just by enterprise release dates and conveniences.
