Integrating XCache Into PHP5 (Debian Etch & lighttpd)

This guide explains how to integrate XCache into PHP5 on a Debian Etch system (with lighttpd). From the XCache project page: “XCache is a fast, stable PHP opcode cacher that has been tested and is now running on production servers under high load.” It’s similar to other PHP opcode cachers, such as eAccelerator and APC.     If someone is reading this, debian-news.net has just been taken over by articles which are years and years old but which have recent dates!

    There are announcements that Woody support has just ended, guides on doing things in Etch, and more.
