Is The Unified App Store For GNU/Linux Coming?

Vincent Untz, an openSUSE Booster, and the GNOME release manager, saw a window of opportunity here. Untz organised a meeting with support from Novell, Debian, Canonical and many other to discuss “How to create a great user experience for finding and installing applications. The goal is really oriented towards end-users, but the solution obviously involves some technical details.” More here
