Debian-news is about one simple thing - news about Debian GNU/Linux and the top free distributions based on Debian GNU/Linux.

Debian has been accepted into GSoC 2013

Aloha, fellow developers, We’ve been accepted[1] into GSoC[2][3][4] again this year. Huzzah! I’d like to thank the Google SoC team — I know I speak for all of us when I say that we’re truely humbled to have been selected.

So, now that it’s “real”, please go and look over the wiki[5] and fill
out any details, or offer to co-mentor any of the projects.

No, really. Go now. We’ll wait.

Back? OK. Great.

So, please pass the word on, we’re currently looking for more mentors to
help ensure students have the best mentorship they could have, as well
as bright students 18+, enroled in a post-secondary school.

Let’s make this a great summer!

Paul (For the GSoC SWAT team)
